Frequently Asked Questions

How do we get started?

After contacting us:

We begin with an intake appointment for parents only. This first meeting gives us a chance to get to know your family, understand your concerns, and gather important background information. It also allows us to answer your questions, explain the process, and ensure the best match for your child and therapist. At the end of this visit, we’ll schedule your child’s first session so you can begin the journey toward healing and growth with confidence.

Do we take insurance?

Yes we do!

Please take a look at our Payments page under the More tab.

Will I be involved in my child’s therapy?

At the Children’s Counseling Center, we believe that parents play a vital role in their child’s healing and growth. Throughout the therapeutic process, parents are kept informed and actively involved through regular communication, progress updates, and collaborative goal setting. Therapists provide guidance and feedback to help parents understand their child’s needs, reinforce strategies at home, and support positive change. By working together, we ensure that therapy is not only effective in session but also extends into the child’s everyday life, strengthening both individual well-being and family relationships.
